POSITION TYPE: Huddle Director
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
Primary Objective:
Huddle Brandon Director leads the staff and programming at the Huddle Brandon site under the supervision of the WYFC Executive Director.

- Able to mobilize resources including developing long term financial stability (regular, local, funding)
- Demonstrated ability to get things done, capable problem solver
- Experience in development or implementation of services in the BioPsychoSocial-Spiritual model of care.
- Able to coach/develop young adults (YAC, Peer Supporters)
- Cares deeply about youth mental health and youth in general
- Preference given to Indigenous applicants
1. Participate in hiring of other Huddle staff
2. Provide supervision for all Huddle staff
3. Lead Huddle regular staff and local Community of Practice meetings
4. Participate in WYFC staff meetings
5. Create a culture of hospitality and relational safety for youth and family
6. Ensure volunteers and staff from partner agencies uphold the values of Huddle
7. Develop and support Youth Advisory and Family Advisory Councils
8. Mentoring and encouraging others in personal Christian understanding, values, character and lifestyle.
PROGRAMMING (20%)
1. Assist in the implementation of programming initiatives created by the Youth/Family council.
2. Implement the programming priorities established by the local Lead Agencies Table.
3. Identify gaps in services to youth in tier 1-4 and initiate new supports, partnerships or programs.
4. Ensure Huddle programming demonstrates excellence in Mental Health and Addiction supports and programming.
5. Create an environment conducive to supporting youth with mental health and addictions challenges.
ADMINISTRATION (20%)
1. Ensure Huddle staff complete necessary employment related paperwork
2. Administer SPA’s with partner agencies including development, implementation and assessment of each position.
3. Ensure a high level of communication with partner agencies and private counsellors.
4. Oversee an effective social media presence.
5. Ensure Huddle staff comply with organizational policies
6. Manage the Huddle facility calendar
7. Ensure the Huddle facility is well maintained through co-ordination with WYFC building maintenance staff
8. Coordinate programming and facility use with staff and volunteers from partner agencies
9. Adhere to the WYFC Policy Manual.
10. Abide by Health and Safety Requirements.
11. Assist in the upkeep of WYFC Facilities.
PARTNER DEVELOPMENT (10%)
1. Personal and ministry area partnership development – which includes securing and maintaining a sound base of financial & prayer partners to a level sufficient to fund the salary and immediate costs of this position, along with the ministry area.
2. Gathering financial and prayer support from the Christian community
3. Build a base of prayer partners and keep them updated through regular communications and prayer request. Encourage prayer partners to pray for youth in Westman and globally.
FINANCIAL (10%)
1. Ensure accurate accounting of all Huddle related expenses, including SPA’s with partner agencies.
2. Oversee and implement the programming and facility budget.
3. Mobilize a sustainable financial support network for Huddle providing up to ¼ of the annual budget.
4. Assist volunteers and partner agencies in youth fund raising events
REPORTING (5%)
1. Supply written reports to Huddle Lead Agencies Table, WYFC Executive Director and WYFC Board of Directors
2. Represent Huddle on the provincial network of Youth Hubs. This includes travel to regular Huddle Network meetings in Winnipeg
3. Ensure accurate utilization of data collection software
4. Provide verbal reports to other committees and councils when deemed useful
SPIRITUAL & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (5%)
1. Is a faithful and contributing member of a local church.
2. Pray for and with WYFC Team.
3. Spend time in spiritual reflection and development.
4. Attend YFC Regional and National conferences as per policy.
5. Participate in training and development courses, conferences and workshops as approved by supervisor. #J-18808-Ljbffr
