Supply Chain Director job opening in Etobicoke, ON


Adecco Professional is partnering with an established manufacturer and distributor to bring top talent onboard for a Supply Chain Director job opening in Etobicoke, ON. This full-time, 8-month interim opportunity will have you leading the team while driving strategic initiatives to work more effectively and efficiently in this hands-on, production role. If you bring driven, positive, mentor and leadership skills and at least 10 years’ experience in a supply chain leadership capacity, this could be your next exciting opportunity


Some of the responsibilities of the Supply Chain Director job opening in Etobicoke, ON may include, but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently develop and lead the supply chain strategy in various functions from strategic initiatives, day-to-day execution and goal setting, quality control, cost savings, inventory control, health and safety etc.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Initiate projects and participate as an active team member.
  • Oversee Inventory control, cost control and flow of materials; ensuring optimal balance and overall control.
  • Managing 3rd party logistics; build, nurture relationships.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are clear and followed including production, health and safety, quality, cost management.
  • Overall managing the warehousing, distribution and transportation of the products with the support of Management in those areas of specialty.
  • Interact and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Mentor, coach the Managers of the various teams; ensure a positive, motivated work culture and be hands on with daily functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Some of the responsibilities of the Supply Chain Director job opening in Etobicoke, ON include, but are also not limited to:

  • At least 10 years of logistics and/or supply chain leadership experience; minimum of 3 years at a Director level is required for consideration.
  • Completed post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or related is required; Masters Degree considered a strong asset.
  • Strengths with MS Office as well as AS400 or SAP; other WMS systems an asset.
  • Driven on results while ensure the team is supported and engaged; promote a positive, inclusive team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Able to work in a busy, fast paced environment with the ability to prioritize and pivot as needed; calm under pressure.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, can-do attitude; can roll up your sleeves in the day-to-day functions in this production level role.
  • Flexible to adjust your schedule at times pending the needs.
