Responsibilities:

  • Monitor building operations, performing regular equipment and area inspections.
  • Supervise and direct contracted service providers to ensure tasks meet contract standards.
  • Ensure best practices in maintaining curtain walls, structural components, and roofing.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems to extend equipment lifespan.
  • Obtain quotes and recommend repairs, managing maintenance within budget and capital spending.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all property operations to ensure optimal conditions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate tenant and landlord work to comply with building codes and specifications.
  • Respond to 24-hour emergencies and escalate as needed.
  • Participate in health and safety programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience in building operations, ideally within retail environments.
  • Proficient in managing mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Familiar with building systems and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Skilled in using hand tools and performing basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
