Reporting to the Director of IT, you'll gain a comprehensive understanding of our infrastructure and services and will support the ongoing maturation of the business.

You'll be a valued contributor as you learn and adapt to new and challenging projects, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and own and optimize our cloud systems and services. You will be a key participant in stewarding the tools that enable the company to deliver on its mission to create the world's first human-like intelligence in general purpose robots.

Our Success Criteria
  • Be a key participant in a cloud migration project - learn about our existing cloud infrastructure and how it connects to various systems (in-cloud and on-prem) and help see the project through to completion alongside existing project participants.
  • Be curious and understand our existing cloud ecosystem, and recommend best practices that enable manageability, scalability, and cost effective operations.
  • Design, build, and document cloud infrastructure and share your knowledge inside the IT team and with stakeholders across the business. Use modern, automated tools and techniques.
  • Work with our software and machine learning teams to ensure their needs and aspirations are well-understood, well-represented, and accounted for when building and operating cloud infrastructure.
  • Make technical recommendations on an ongoing basis to ensure our environments are optimized.
  • Make business recommendations around capacity, capabilities, security, and cost of our cloud ecosystems.
  • Grow your skills across the cloud ecosystem in all facets as you grow our cloud capabilities alongside the business.
  • Grow your mentorship capabilities by sharing your work and skills with teammates to help foster their professional growth and development.

Your Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in an Azure, cloud-first environment with direct infrastructure management exposure at scale.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • A demonstrated track record of technical excellence and successful projects under minimal supervision.

Skills

  • Proficient with foundational Azure compute, container, and data capabilities and services including Azure App Service, Kubernetes services, Function App, Databases, and others.
  • Highly skilled with logging and analytics services and reporting.
  • Proficient with the foundational elements of Azure tenants including EntraID and Powershell.
  • Confident in using IaC approaches and tools, like Terraform, ARM, and or Bicep.
  • Confident and experienced with networking concepts (like subnets, VPNs, and so on) in general, and Azure virtual networks in particular - including Network Security Groups (NSG).
  • Familiar with SSO, SAML, SCIM, and OAuth integrations into Azure, as well as being comfortable working in an ITIL-oriented workplace with multiple endpoints (Windows, Linux, MacOS).
  • Above all else, a consistently positive attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to create robust solutions to complex problems.
  • Advocate of personal responsibility and team accountability.
  • Effective communicator across technical and non-technical domains.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and meticulous troubleshooting.
