Le directeur adjoint de catégorie soutient le Directeur de Catégorie dans la gestion des relations fournisseurs, l’élaboration de stratégies de marchandisage et le suivi des performances des produits.

Responsabilités / Tâches


Soutien aux stratégies de marchandisage et relations fournisseurs

  • Assister le Directeur de Catégorie dans la gestion des relations avec les fournisseurs en préparant les rencontres, en organisant des visites et en participant aux salons professionnels pour renforcer les partenariats.
  • Contribuer à l’élaboration de stratégies de marchandisage en analysant les performances des produits, en proposant des améliorations et en coordonnant les actions avec les équipes internes.
  • Participer à l’évaluation de nouveaux fournisseurs et au suivi des négociations pour assurer la rentabilité et la compétitivité des catégories.
  • Soutenir l’implantation des actions et des promotions en magasin, en garantissant la cohérence et la mise en œuvre efficace des stratégies définies.


Expertise produit et support à la gestion des catégories

  • Aider à l’optimisation de la sélection des produits en proposant des ajustements pour répondre aux besoins du marché et aux attentes des clients.
  • Participer à l’analyse des données de ventes et fournir des rapports réguliers pour évaluer la rentabilité des catégories.
  • Maintenir une communication fluide avec les équipes internes et les clients, en répondant aux demandes et en anticipant les besoins.
  • Toutes tâches connexes reliées à la fonction.


Connaissances et Compétences Requises

  • Expérience en soutien à la gestion de catégories, dans l'industrie du meuble ou dans un secteur similaire, un atout.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement sous pression et à respecter des délais serrés.
  • Autonomie, rigueur et grande capacité d’organisation et de coordination.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, tant à l'oral qu'à l’écrit.
  • Forte capacité à travailler en équipe et à collaborer avec différentes parties prenantes.
  • Compétences analytiques solides et maîtrise des outils bureautiques (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Esprit d’initiative et capacité à proposer des solutions innovantes.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
  • Connaissance des systèmes de gestion intégrée (POS), un atout.

Qualifications Requises

  • Diplôme universitaire en marketing, gestion ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • 2 à 3 années d’expérience dans un rôle similaire, idéalement dans le secteur de l'ameublement ou d’un domaine connexe.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint et Outlook).


Job Summary

The Assistant Category Manager supports the Category Manager in managing supplier relationships, developing merchandising strategies, and monitoring product performance. Responsibilities / Tasks

Support for Merchandising Strategies and Supplier Relations

  • Assist the Category Manager in managing supplier relationships by preparing meetings, organizing visits, and attending trade shows to strengthen partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development of merchandising strategies by analyzing product performance, proposing improvements, and coordinating actions with internal teams.
  • Participate in evaluating new suppliers and follow up on negotiations to ensure the profitability and competitiveness of categories.
  • Support the implementation of in-store actions and promotions, ensuring consistency and effective execution of defined strategies.

Product Expertise and Category Management Support

  • Help optimize the product selection by suggesting adjustments to meet market needs and customer expectations.
  • Participate in sales data analysis and provide regular reports to evaluate category profitability.
  • Maintain smooth communication with internal teams and clients, responding to requests and anticipating needs.
  • Perform all tasks related to the function.


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in category management support, preferably in the furniture industry or a similar sector, is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, and strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ability to work in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical skills and proficiency with office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Initiative and ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of integrated management systems (POS) is an asset.


Required Qualifications

  • University degree in marketing, management, or a related field.
