The Medicine - Adult program at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital is looking for a dynamic, results focused Clinical Nurse Educator to support staff education on units 4W and 5E. Working collaboratively with the other Medicine CNE, the manager and staff; you will support orientation, mentorship and clinical education for staff on these units.

As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Bachelors degree in Nursing or related discipline. Minimum three years of recent acute med/surg experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate, teach and mentor effectively. Demonstrated knowledge of adult education principles. Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office applications as well as Connect Care.

Master's degree in nursing or related discipline with focus on adult education. Diploma or certificate in adult education. Prior or current experience as a CNE, adult educator, college or university instructor.
