Our expectations

Reporting to the Director, RONA Foundation, the Coordinator, Community Engagement will support the Director in her duties. The successful candidate will coordinate and provide administrative support to various campaigns aiming to engage our RONA and banner employees in local and national causes, while making a tangible impact in the communities we serve.

Your role

  • Provide administrative support to the RONA Foundation
    • Manage the Foundation mailbox
    • Export reports from the Benevity and Donna donation and payment platforms
    • Analyze and respond to donation requests
    • Respond to store requests
    • File documents, photos, logos, receipts, and other documents on the network
    • Send mass emails
    • Enter data and create Excel reports

  • Help organize fundraising events and campaigns
    • Update communications including invitations, cash register procedures, instructions, campaign manuals, letters of thanks, and more
    • Coordinate campaign material distribution
    • Provide various support during events

  • Perform accounting for the RONA Foundation
    • Issue and send invoices, follow up on payments
    • Make requests to issue payment
    • Issue donation receipts

*This position requires occasional travel and work outside regular hours.

The qualifications we are looking for

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in philanthropy and financial management (golf tournaments, fundraising dinners, donation campaigns)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to quickly perform quality work
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills
  • Thoroughness in data entry
  • Good judgment and respect
  • Comfort with technology (donation platforms, data processing, Office suite)
  • Familiarity with Donna by Cible Solutions and Benevity platforms (an asset)
