Role Overview:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating ‘WOW’ event and conference experiences for our prospects and clients in the private healthcare industry. As an experienced Senior B2B Marketing & Events Manager, you are the key to bringing our marketing events to life. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with each business unit, designing events that reinforce the BoomerangFX brand, strengthen our market positioning, drive client engagement, and enhance relationships that deliver revenue. Reporting to the Director Business Development, this role is responsible for the management, planning, and execution of conferences and events across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in the event planning cycle from start to finish including conception through to post-event activities.
  • Conduct thorough research for event planning and development, preparing detailed plans, timelines, and forecasts.
  • Maintain the budget for each event, allocating financial resources appropriately for various matters.
  • Determine and acquire needed supports for each event including marketing content, communication management, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business to plan and execute events such as webinars and conferences.
  • Coordinate accommodations and supports needed for attendees and event speakers.
  • Manage event coordination and logistics include venue managements, accommodations, tech, production, etc.
  • Prepare budget reports as well as post-event analysis with insight into achievement of objectives.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, sharing expertise and innovative ideas to enhance events.
  • Identify and secure external vendors and partners to build and maintain list of resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry news and emerging trends to incorporate into event development.
  • Participate in special projects related to events and marketing.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing corporate events (i.e. conferences & trade shows), ideally in the healthcare or software services industry.
  • Expertise in the full event management cycle from event planning to execution to post-event analysis.
  • Proven experience working with budgets, allocating resources, and delegating tasks for events.
  • Negotiation and management of high-level supplier contracts and relationships
  • A strong skillset in creating plans and timelines, with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Solid professional communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience speaking with senior leaders.
  • Basic skills in Illustrator, Photoshop
  • You are eager to deliver actionable outcomes and find creative solutions to complex initiatives.
  • You have thoughtful communication skills and experience managing a variety of stakeholders across different teams.
  • You have a proven ability to prioritize tasks that maximize your impact while working independently.
  • You have an affinity for traveling and are eager to work events in different cities across North America.
  • You are adaptable to change and a fast-paced environment
