Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Night Auditor to join our team. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of our establishment, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and exceptional guest service throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the daily night audit proceedings and system back-ups.
  • Audit, balance and report on all cash and credit operations including over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, postings, etc., and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
  • Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk including room charges, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, and deposits to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs during the night shift, providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure any discrepancies are reported and brought to the attention of the Rooms Division Manager.
  • Prepare Daily Operations reports accurately.
  • Assist in taking and placing wake-up calls, as needed.
  • Perform the duties of Guest Service Agent including check in/check out.
  • Have thorough knowledge of emergency and front office procedures.
  • Ensure the safety and well being of guests and staff during the overnight period.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and MS Office.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or hospitality is a plus.
