As a Project Manager / Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, meeting client expectations, and maintaining profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather project requirements and specifications
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure competitive pricing and availability of resources
- Create and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases
- Oversee and coordinate all project activities, including procurement, subcontractor management, quality control, and safety compliance
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Prepare and present project status reports to clients and senior management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among project team members
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience managing construction or renovation projects
- 3-5 years’ experience working directly with the Emergency and Restoration industry (insurance); not required but considered an asset
- Proficient in estimating software and project management tools (MS Office, Xactimate and Xactanalysis)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required
