Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
Location: Glenburnie, ON
Salary: $31.43/hr
Shift: Irregular on-call—WEEKEND AVAILABILITY
What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident care plans.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment that respects privacy, dignity, and individuality.
- Demonstrate professional working knowledge of all equipment used in nursing care delivery.
- Liaise with medical team members, nurse specialists, and consultants to support effective clinical care for all residents.
- Assist in general health care, including cleanliness, grooming, rest, nourishment, and therapy.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing care within scope, following guidelines from CNO, LTCA, and home policies.
- Aid in the assessment of needs and development of care plans.
- Complete documentation as required.
- Show commitment to the Gentle Care Philosophy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN.
- Successful completion of Medication Administration for RPNs.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Recent TB test.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations (3 doses).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen.
