What You’ll Do:

Build Next-Level Data Pipelines:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
  • Transform and process massive datasets with PySpark/Spark and SQL.
  • Seamlessly integrate data from diverse sources such as Azure Blob Storage, ADLS, and relational/non-relational systems.

Collaborate & Innovate:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prepare data for dashboards and BI tools.
  • Translate business needs into tailored data solutions that deliver measurable value.

Optimize for Success:

  • Maximize performance and cost efficiency of Databricks workloads.
  • Ensure data pipeline reliability and accuracy through vigilant monitoring and troubleshooting.

Lead in Governance & Security:

  • Implement data governance, access controls, and security standards using Unity Catalog.
  • Align with organizational and regulatory data policies for compliance.

Streamline Deployments:

  • Utilize Databricks Asset Bundles for smooth deployment of jobs, notebooks, and configurations.
  • Manage version control and champion development best practices.


What You Bring to the Table:

Core Expertise:

  • Extensive experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Lakehouse Architecture, Delta Live Pipelines, Databricks Runtime).
  • Proficiency in Azure Cloud Services.
  • Strong command of Spark and PySpark for big data processing.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Databricks Asset Bundles and GitLab.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Databricks Runtimes and advanced configurations.
  • Knowledge of streaming frameworks like Spark Streaming.
  • Proven track record in developing real-time data solutions.

Certifications (a Plus):

  • Azure Data Engineer Associate or Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate.
