The head teacher is responsible for promoting a healthy learning environment while leading and providing guidance to the rest of the staff in the classroom.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Create lesson plans according to the center philosophy.
  2. Maintain open communication between staff and parents.
  3. Observe and record relevant information about student progress.
  4. Ensure that the classroom and all teaching materials are in good condition and disinfected as required.
  5. Ensure that the program runs according to the daily schedule and the Ministry’s regulations.
  6. Provide supervision and training to students and supply teachers.
  7. Participate in all school events such as open houses, parent meetings, etc.
  8. Maintain records and checklists according to Ministry’s regulations.
  9. Supervise work/activity periods to provide guidance and ensure correct use of materials.
  10. Assist with light cleaning.
  11. Facilitate the development of each child’s self-esteem, trust, and autonomy.
  12. Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher interviews, training sessions, etc.
  13. Role model appropriate behavior.
  14. Maintain clear and concise reporting of accidents, injuries, and illnesses, as well as conducting health checks of children.
  15. Have fundamental knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen?, and Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT).
  16. Maintain regular communication with parents.
  17. Maintain records (daily log, checklists, Hi Mama reports, etc.).

Skills and Requirements:

  1. MACTE / AMI certified or RECE (Registered ECE).
  2. CPR certification.
  3. Vulnerable Police check.
  4. Updated immunization.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Reliable and punctual.

Physical Conditions and Capacities:

  1. Bending and kneeling throughout the day.
  2. Ability to lift 30 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
