SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Chemistry Supervisor supports activities in the Chemistry department and oversees daily Chemistry lab activities to ensure timely turnaround of quality releases of Raw Materials, Intermediates and Finished Goods and sustain compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Time Spent
Major Responsibilities / Activities
30%
Oversee completion of daily results and paperwork from Chemistry and Mixing labs. May include audit trail review. Primary contact person for Raw Materials, FG and in-process. Support review of equipment and method qualification or transfer or validation data whenever needed.
20%
Complete weekly schedule of Laboratory activities.
30%
Perform OOL/OOS and other investigations for compliance.
10%
Perform ACE check-ins and Kaizen at regular interval.
10%
Support colleagues to fulfill the team goals for the year.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
Education Level
Required:
- University Degree, B.Sc. in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Quality Assurance or related field
Major Subjects / Specialties
Preferred:
- Chemistry/Biochemistry
- Quality Assurance
Type of Experience
Required:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Word & Excel
- Previous experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Previous experience working in a Quality function
- Experience with a regulated chemistry lab and understanding of industry best laboratory practices, techniques.
Preferred:
- Chemistry testing lab experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory/corporate requirements
Years of Experience
Required:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in a QC Chemistry Lab data review, preferably in a quality function
Preferred:
- 5+ years of successful progressively responsible experience
Additional Skills / Special Training / Technical Skills Required
Required:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Time management / prioritization skills.
- Must be available to work a schedule outside business hours and/or flexible shifts.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office and Laboratory information management system (LIMS)
