PROJECT MANAGER

Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Manager at Ruskin Construction Ltd. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager will utilize their experience applying principles of project management (e.g. earned value management, critical path) to plan, manage, track and execute projects.

This role will involve coordinating with various teams and stakeholders, conducting project inspections, managing logistics, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers. The Project Manager will oversee projects across Western Canada, including BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, with potential involvement in projects extending into the territories and the Northwestern US. The base locations for this role may include Prince George, PG, Spruce Grove, and BC's Lower Mainland, with the possibility of integrating some work-from-home options.

Responsibilities

· Demonstrate the highest commitment to the safety and protection of workers & Environment.

· Direct & manage project development from start to end, exceeding client expectations

· Estimate & Budget Projects

· Communicate directly with contractors/designers/client on project cost, staffing, and scheduling.

· Prepare project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.

· Ensure Company Policies & Procedures are followed

· Demonstrate highly effective Contract and Change Management

· Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other clients.

· Proactively manage changes, identify issues, and devise contingency plans

· Plan/estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

· Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

· Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.

Skills & Experience

· 5+ years' experience in Project management

· Demonstrated safety record on Past Projects

· Industrial and oil and gas, and foundation related construction experience is an asset.

· Pile driving, foundation, and heavy civil experience in a supervisory role is an asset

· Demonstrated experience in personnel management.

· Be able to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

· Knowledge of construction processes and industry regulations

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

· Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

· Proficiency in project management software and tools

· PMP certification or similar qualification is an asset
