What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

The Technical Coordinator Co-op is a highly motivated self starter who will assist in various areas of our project, depending on business requirements.

What Youll Do Here:

  • Create listing of technical activities, including design, inspection, filed changes and review.
  • Support pre-listing activities such as preparing quality forms and communicating forms.
  • Coordinate all aspects of preparing listings, by assisting the team's Design Manager in scheduling and communicating timelines and progress.
  • Coordinate all aspects of active listings, including scheduling and listing preparations.
  • Attend internal and external meeting, prepare MOM and follow up the action plans.
  • Maintain the submittal log through Aconex, and coordinate any discrepancy with Document control and designers.
  • Book keeping all technical files including plotting, printing, Share Point and Aconex.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Pursuing an engineering degree is preferable.
  • Experience in using MS office
  • Knowledge of drafting or detailing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)
  • Strong interpersonal skills when communicating with a large team.
  • Organizational and time management skills (ability to prioritize tasks).
