Duties and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience fixing CNC milling machines. Duties include:

  1. Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  2. Daily utilization of forklift, scissor lifts, skyjacks, boom jacks, saw, ladders, and other power tools as required.
  3. Moving skids, material, furniture, supplies, and equipment.
  4. Organizing shop, stores (Material above Deburring Dept.).
  5. Filling CNC machines with oil, grease, coolant as required.
  6. Changing air filters on CNC Machines.
  7. Completing all facility maintenance tasks as required including fixing plumbing, electrical, light fixtures, duct work, galvanized air pipes, etc.
  8. Fixing components on forklift machines.
  9. Locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  10. Removing defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  11. Determining changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  12. Adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  13. Controlling downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  14. Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  15. Maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  16. Providing mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests to other department supervisors.
  17. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company procedures and ISO regulations.
  18. All other duties assigned by the Manager.
