THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Managing Director of the JN Bank, the Chief Representative Officer will represent JN Bank in the Canadian market ensuring that the Toronto Representative Office (TRO) operates in compliance with the Canadian regulatory requirements and the JN Bank operating policy and procedural guidelines. In this role the incumbent is responsible for promoting JN Bank’s products and services and identifying opportunities to form strategic alliances to create brand awareness and advance the business of JN Bank.

The scope of responsibility also includes prospecting and identifying opportunities to increase brand and member company awareness in the territory.

To achieve the aforementioned, this role will embrace the use of all technology platforms and will involve working with the JN Group Marketing, Sales, Innovation and Process Improvement, Cyber Security, Compliance teams and our wider stakeholders.

The role is a rich, multi-faceted combination of management, strategy and hands-on commercial responsibility which will see you challenged and rewarded.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The key responsibilities of the role include the following:
  • Developing and executing an annual strategic plan for the TRO
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth through effective marketing and sales, as well as positive customer experience
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the territory
  • Develop and strengthen internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share
  • Ensuring that the Representative Office achieves its approved mortgage origination and disbursement targets
  • Monitoring the TRO’s day to day compliance with the regulatory guidelines and the TRO’s own AML/CFT policies and procedures
  • Conducting ongoing compliance audit checks for adherence to JN Bank’s operating policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that all transactions are completed
  • Managing the TRO’s expenditure in relation to the approved budget
  • Identifying opportunities and execute promotional activities
  • Interfacing with the business, social and diaspora communities to promote awareness of JN Bank’s products and services
  • Generating performance reports to the MD of JN Bank
  • Conducting market intelligence analysis of emerging trends and make recommendations to management to exploit opportunities and mitigate risks

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Management Studies or related discipline
  • Specialized training in business research, market intelligence and business analytics at the post graduate level
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic planning, marketing and research
