What is the opportunity?

The Organizational Effectiveness team is RBC’s Center of Excellence supporting businesses and leaders with Organizational Design and Change Management. We collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR Centres of Expertise, and colleagues in the business/functional teams to build resources and provide advisory support for small to medium initiatives and facilitate complex enterprise-wide programs.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Organizational Effectiveness, the Director, Organizational Effectiveness will work with talent partners and business leaders on organizational design, change management and workforce transformation to enable RBC to drive key business priorities.

What will you do?

  • Work with colleagues in HR, business and senior leaders as part of a fast-paced and high-performing team to enhance performance and outcomes across business units, platforms and the Enterprise overall.
  • Strengthen RBC’s effectiveness and efficiency through the continued development and deployment of organizational effectiveness (OE) capabilities by leading high priority Enterprise initiatives related to Organization Design and Change Management.
  • Utilize your extensive consulting experience to initiate, design and deliver large complex Organizational Design and Change Management initiatives by applying structured methodologies and approaches.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in OE areas of expertise to support credible recommendations and the ability to provide advisory support.
  • Able to identify key data sources for business case development, work with large data sources, and perform analysis.
  • Manage relationships with HRBP and Senior Executives to define scope of work and provide recommendations to apply OE methodologies and services to enable the Talent Management and business objectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and evolution of OE practices and capabilities, providing input and support to the evolving and expanding RBC OE methodologies, frameworks and tools.
  • Lead projects from planning to implementation: Deliver recommendations to an actionable level of detail, and measure against key performance indicators.
  • Develop effective communication strategies and tactics to deliver the findings and solutions helping drive to alignment.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Passion for Organizational Effectiveness and building high performance teams.
  • Knowledge of Organizational Development (OD) processes, issues and considerations; ability to advise senior leaders and implement programs in all areas of organizational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.
  • Consulting toolkit with the ability to work and think strategically.
  • Experience in breaking ambiguous problems into component parts, identifying logical methods to solve them and assessing business opportunities and impact.
  • Ability to facilitate complex problem-solving sessions with varied stakeholders groups to drive to solutions.
  • Ability to get things done in a variety of circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and RBC SMEs to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
  • Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills (oral and written) with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to senior audiences.
