Position Summary

Info-Tech Research Group is looking for an associate producer/researcher to support the video production process who will develop a strong understanding of our IT research content and will play a crucial role bringing these products to life in the form of video. You will help with content planning and ideation. You will play a vital part in the pre-production and production phases of filming.

In this role, you will assist the Senior Vice President, Brand Reach & Influence, the Senior Producer, and the Manager of Production in planning the scope and treatment of video projects. You want to create compelling videos that promote Info-Tech’s products and services on the company website, social media, and other platforms. You will know how to visually bring a script or concept to life, often under tight timelines. You’ll also work alongside a talented team of producers and video editors as a tight-knit creative team.

Note: Currently, this is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

  1. Take a leading role in coordinating the planning and research, including booking guests, and all pre-production info gathering.
  2. You pull salient content, stats, and data from blueprints with the understanding of what our target audience.
  3. You adhere to deadlines at each stage of producing daily content.
  4. You create detailed outlines for each video segment.
  5. You script intros and outros.
  6. You book talent and subject matter experts.
  7. You’re able to do a run of show or rundown for the shoot schedule (complete with crew call and talent scheduling).
  8. You ensure that everything is set for each shoot day & all rehearsals.
  9. You oversee the run of show during shoots – ensuring that everything runs on a tight schedule.
  10. You help remote guests prepare for their interviews – wardrobe, lighting, audio and framing.
  11. Work with an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, developers, marketers, social media managers, researchers, and executives.
  12. Ensure a consistent tone and “voice” that aligns with the company’s brand.

Education and Experience

  1. College or university training with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a studio setting / newsroom, with video production, motion graphics, video/audio editing, and asset management.
  2. You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with our research products.
  3. Proven ability to work cross-team and incorporate feedback from stakeholders while managing workloads effectively.
  4. Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver error-free content.
  5. Experience working in an agile, market-driven company is an asset.

Skills

  1. You can navigate our internal IT Research Project List and our published material for key content and insight.
  2. You coordinate with team members to ensure an ongoing production process.
  3. Ability to work with minimal supervision at times.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  6. Familiarity with Jira project management software is an asset.
  7. Ability to schedule and keep everyone on schedule.
  8. You enjoy problem solving and are always thinking about solutions.
