Position Summary
Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) has an immediate relief full time Aquatic Therapist opening. This position is to provide coverage until October 2025, or the return of incumbent.

Join our rehabilitation team at KGH as an Aquatic Therapist and play a pivotal role in designing and delivering exceptional aquatic therapy programs for both individuals and groups. In this rewarding position, you will plan, develop, and implement effective aquatic therapy services tailored to meet diverse patient needs. You'll also oversee the maintenance and safety of our pool facilities, ensuring a hygienic environment in line with the Public Health Act and Interior Health’s Standards.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating program effectiveness, crafting educational strategies to promote the benefits of aquatic therapy, and integrating these services into acute therapy programs. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' recovery journeys while fostering a supportive and dynamic therapeutic environment.

Days of work are Monday through Friday; 07:30 to 15:0:30 hours.

Qualfications
• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, Kinesiology, Recreation Therapy or Physical Education.
• Current National Lifeguard Services Award, current CPR (Level C) and six months recent related experience in a supervisory role in an aquatic setting.
• Specialized training in adapted aquatics and aquatic therapy techniques; have successfully taken Red Cross Water Safety Instructor award or YM/YWCA learn to swim award; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
