About us

Our team is based around an Orthopedic Surgeon in Vernon, BC. Our goal is to provide exemplary patient-centered care in an innovative team-based environment. We currently have a Medical Office Assistant, Kinesiologist, and LPN working with the surgeon. We specialize in lower extremity reconstruction and trauma, with half the practice involving hip and knee replacements and half foot and ankle reconstruction.

We are looking for an additional Medical Office Assistant to join our team and provide administrative support to our medical staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients in a professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with medical billing and coding.
  • Assist with filing insurance claims.
  • Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Additional pay:

  • Bonus pay
  • Retention bonus
