We are looking for you to show initiative, the desire to learn, and the ability to apply yourself to everyday tasks in the Engineering Dept. In return, we will train you in our systems and practices to eventually become a Mechanical Designer.

Responsibilities:

  1. Learning how to create 3D and 2D models and production drawings of sheet metal parts, tubing components, and assemblies using Solidworks & Draftsight Software.
  2. Checking work for conformity and error.
  3. Creating bills of materials.
  4. Implementing design changes and documenting revisions.
  5. Working closely with the production dept to analyze and remedy any manufacturing issues that arise.

Ideal candidate should have:

  1. A desire to eventually become a Mechanical Designer in the HVAC industry.
  2. A strong interest and understanding of basic Engineering principles.
  3. A willingness to learn & take instruction from experienced designers on how to use our proprietary coil design software.
  4. Adaptability and willingness to accept change in priorities.
  5. Ability to work under tight time restrictions and meet deadlines.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  8. A demonstrated interest in being a part of the HVAC design industry.
  9. Willingness to work overtime when needed.
