Job Summary:
The Senior Associate, Corporate Development plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and other growth opportunities. This position requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Essential Functions:
- Support the execution of the company’s M&A and other corporate development strategies
- Conduct comprehensive global market research to proactively source and evaluate acquisition targets through identifying emerging trends and competitive landscapes across various regions
- Build and execute sophisticated financial analysis on potential targets, considering international financial and regulatory nuances
- Facilitate the due diligence process through to closing, including managing and coordinating across multiple internal and external diligence work streams
- Support the financial modeling of transactions, including the evaluation of synergies and the financial impact of strategic initiatives, to inform decision-making
- Support and drive negotiations with vendors, collaborating with advisors and key stakeholders on driving successful transaction completion
- Be involved with discussions surrounding the strategic M&A direction of the company to inform M&A origination process
- Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Factset, and Pitchbook
- Strong analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex transaction concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work variable hours and travel when required to close transactions
- Strong team management skills, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment
- Financial literacy and ability to build and polish presentations for executive team/board-level audiences
- Ethical and Critical Thinking
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent is a plus
- 3 to 4 years of experience in global corporate development, transaction advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, or investment banking
- Experienced with conducting and/or reviewing Quality of Earnings analyses
