The Opportunity:


We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to join our Kitchener office. In this role, you will manage a variety of geotechnical engineering projects while providing leadership and technical support to junior staff. You will also play a key part in maintaining client relationships and ensuring the financial health of projects.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Managing a variety of geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Coordinating fieldwork for a range of investigations, including drilling and test pitting.
  • Overseeing compaction testing of soil and asphalt using a nuclear gauge, concrete testing, and aggregate sampling.
  • Providing onsite reporting and coordination for geotechnical inspection of footing and subgrade.
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals, technical reports, and drawings.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and maintaining project financials.
  • Offering leadership, mentoring, training, and technical support to junior staff.
  • Seeking opportunities to build and maintain client relationships and business development.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. designation.
  • 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in technical report writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and tools like AutoCAD and Geo-Slope.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and safe practices around heavy equipment and construction sites.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR training is an asset.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • A successful Criminal Records Check completed within the last 6 months.
