About the role
Eli is looking for a Biomedical Specialist Intern for a duration of 4 to 8 months from September 2024. You will be a key member of our R&D and Manufacturing teams, helping to discover new ways to improve current and future iterations of our product & assay technology. Your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Streamline manufacturing processes.
- Research and design tools to assist assembly.
- Develop quality assurance systems for manufactured parts.
- Develop incoming inspection protocols.
- Develop manufacturing work instructions.
- Assist in the assembly of parts.
- Support the scientific team by developing experimental setups and fixtures.
- Conceptualize, design, rapidly prototype, and build different components of V2 of the hardware product.
- Collaborate with the scientific and software teams to ensure the integration of all systems.
- Contribute to building a novel technology that can shape the next generation of women’s healthcare.

About you
- You have or are pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Science or related field.
- You have previous experience in the medical device industry or related experience from regulated industry.
- You are rigorous, diligent, and thorough in testing design and documentation.
- You have basic IT and software skills necessary for supporting documentation in an electronic QMS system.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are able to work both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members.
