Job Description:


Position Overview: The Waterproofing Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for waterproofing projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop accurate and comprehensive drafting documents that meet project specifications and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Drafting and Design:
  • Develop detailed waterproofing drawings and plans based on architectural and engineering specifications.
  • Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise technical drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in waterproofing.


  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information and clarify design requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss design concepts, modifications, and updates.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate representation of materials and methods.


  • Quality Assurance:
  • Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct quality checks on drawings to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies in waterproofing.


  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:
  • Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
  • Ensure proper version control and document management practices are followed.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for project approvals, permits, and client presentations.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting, preferably within the construction or building envelope industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other drafting tools.
  • Strong understanding of waterproofing systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
