Glazing Estimator


Reporting to the Senior Estimator/Chief Estimator, the Project Estimator is responsible for working

on and establishing complete material & labour estimates for various projects and providing

estimating support to our project management groups. Collaborate with the other key

departments (Engineering/Design, Fabrication and Field) to develop complete Top Sheets.


• Provide Tender Summaries with regards to the qualifications, schedule and Tender Form

requirements

• Understand the Instructions to Bidders and determine which departments are necessary for

involvement to achieve those instructions

• Understand the Top Sheet and be able to develop it from beginning to end, including all

costs and inputs from the other departments

• Maintain and distribute all incoming addendums in order to ensure that each budget/bid is

accurate and up to date

• Provide drafts for the budget/bid proposal packages, including cover letter, proposal,

qualifications and exclusions


Knowledge & Skillset


• 2-3 years related industry experience.

• Good knowledge of the tender/bid process and understand the difference between budgets

and bids

• Good knowledge of unitized curtainwall; all of the components, general design criteria,

fabrication procedures and installation procedures

• Good knowledge of the Top Sheet, Budget/Bid Proposal and what the necessary

components are for each proposal.

• General knowledge of curtainwall design and performance requirements
