Skills and Responsibility.

• Hands-on application deployment maintenance experience with demonstrated adeptness at configuring, upgrading, and administering business applications, in co-ordination with appropriate stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in deploying cloud-based applications
• Excellent knowledge of Cloud Technologies including Cloudify, Azure, AWS
• Excellent Operation System/Platform Experience: Windows and *nix like systems (Linux preferred with AIX being an asset)
• Working with multiple technologies such as:
• Experience with JBoss, Apache/Tomcat, NodeJS, Spring/Spring Boot
• WebSphere / Apache Administration and environment management experience
• IIS experience considered to be an asset
• Internet technologies such as HTTP, HTML5, CGI, and SSL
• Networking (firewalls, routers, dns, load balancers)
• Knowledge in area of contingency planning and disaster recovery strategies
• Knowledge of IBM InfoSphere DataStage, distributed batch, and CA7 scheduling used for intra system file transfers
• Knowledge in encryption technologies including familiarity with encryption keys in use by applications as well as use of secure shell in accessing technologies
• Experience in using testing tools such as ParaSoft SOA test, Postman, TOSCA, and/or SoapUI
• Experience with mainframe tools, utilities, and related products:
• TSO ISPF
• SDSF
• JCL
• JES2
• IBM Utilities
• Experience with UNIX shell script development
• Experience with other Operation System/Platform
• z/OS
• z/OS Unix System Services (USS)
• z/OS security (CA ACF2 or z/OS Security Server (RACF))
• Experience in supporting services installed in z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition on z/OS environment
• Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• College / University or equivalent work experience
• Good years in the IT Technology field
• Proficiency with MS Office PC software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of ITS internal Business practices and related tools/processes would be an asset.
• Proven track record of delivering results and committed to operational and service excellence
• Strong change management skills
• Ability to provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Exposure to SOA based apps would be an asset.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple platforms, deadlines and competing priorities
• Mature and professional manner and approach, with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
• Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
