The Position

Commercial Contract Lead

Location: We are looking for candidates based in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario (Greater Toronto Area) or Quebec (Greater Montreal area).

As the Commercial Contract Lead reporting directly to the Commercial Contracting Director, you are the Finance & Administration partner to the Provincial Healthcare Leader and regional squads. Guided by your knowledge of the public tendering process you will be the Face of Roche to the key account Procurement Leaders in the Province. You will use your financial acumen to provide operational support as it relates to end-to-end contract management life cycle to the squad and provincial customers. You are a skilled negotiator and are committed to active listening to determine ways to deliver shared value for internal and external stakeholders.

The Opportunity:

  • Establishing relationships with Procurement Leaders in key provincial accounts and owns the customer experience for Commercial Contracting (contract renewals, quotes, billing blocks, collections, contract compliance, credit/debit notes, etc.).
  • Collaborating with the Provincial Health Team to support sales strategy, deal creation & monitoring across all key provincial accounts including the preparation of proposals, quotes & TCO models, deal modeling in GDC, executive deal reviews, trade-in/instrument refresh strategies.
  • Supporting the achievement of squad objectives by ensuring the production of accurate and timely contract & pricing information, including analysis, and trending reports.
  • Identifying opportunities and threats and suggest and implement corrective actions and strategies based on in-depth knowledge of the account and their procurement goals.
  • Scanning the business landscape for trends, issues and opportunities to create value and opportunities for the company.
  • Providing insights on provincial performance & makes recommendations to drive profitable growth.

Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Business (preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Finance or Contracting.
  • You have a proven ability to manage priorities and work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • You demonstrate business acumen and Roche Diagnostics Mind-sets & Behaviors.
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and confidence around senior-level buying influencers.
  • You have the ability to travel (20% of the time).

Preferred:

  • You demonstrated knowledge of the Diagnostics Industry and/or Healthcare Industry.
  • You have prior commercial experience in a customer-facing role.
  • You are a member of an accounting association (CPA).
  • You demonstrate highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and you have experience on SAP.

In this position, you will be collaborating with colleagues across Canada, therefore a proficient level of English is required and French may be required depending on geographical location.
