You will oversee all aspects of product development, from conception to launch, while also ensuring the sustained excellence of our current product lines. Your expertise will be crucial in driving innovation and maintaining Sensors & Software’s leadership position in the GPR market.

You will be responsible for managing the engineering team’s performance, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will also play a key role in shaping the company’s overall strategic direction, ensuring our technology roadmap aligns with evolving market needs and emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the full lifecycle of product development, from initial concept through to market launch, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

- Develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that drives innovation and aligns with the company’s business goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and external R&D resources, to drive product development initiatives and ensure alignment with market demands.

- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and team development, ensuring the engineering department is optimally structured to deliver business objectives.

- Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring Sensors & Software remains at the forefront of GPR technology by integrating the latest advancements into the product pipeline.

- Act as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to strategic decision-making and helping to identify new market opportunities to expand the company’s product portfolio.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence, ensuring the engineering team remains motivated, skilled, and engaged.

What We’re Looking For:

- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary engineering teams, with a strong track record of delivering complex hardware and software products.

- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive high performance across diverse teams.

- Strong project management skills, with experience managing end-to-end product development in both hardware and software environments.

- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution, ensuring alignment between engineering efforts and broader business goals.

- Extensive experience in managing budgets, resources, and external partnerships to deliver successful product outcomes.

- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of how engineering innovation drives commercial success.

- Familiarity with both waterfall (hardware) and agile (software) development methodologies, ensuring the right approach for each project.

- A background in systems engineering, instrumentation, or test and measurement technology in a B2B environment is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and driving successful product development.

- Expertise in managing global teams and external development partners.

- Familiarity with tools like Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Kanban is an advantage.

Why Join Us

At Sensors & Software, you will have the opportunity to lead a highly talented team at the cutting edge of GPR technology. You’ll be part of a dynamic and innovative company that is shaping the future of subsurface imaging and detection. We offer a collaborative work environment where you can have a significant impact on our growth and the evolution of our products.
