Your Role:
As a Recreation Therapy Worker, you'll be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, implementing established leisure and recreation therapy programs. Focused on geriatric residents and short-stay clients, your responsibilities include assisting residents to/from their programs, facilitating tailored groups, and reporting relevant observations to the Supervisor/Recreation Therapist. This dynamic role allows you to contribute to the overall well-being of our residents by providing meaningful and enjoyable activities.

Situated in the picturesque surroundings of Armstrong, Pleasant Valley Manor is an 82-bed complex care facility dedicated to creating a resident-centered environment. Our facility embodies a philosophy that supports residents’ choices, promotes functional independence, and ensures the best quality of life possible. With 24-hour staff and comprehensive services, we provide a comfortable living space where residents thrive.
Casual Employment Opportunities:
Casual positions offer flexible work requirements ranging from 0 to 37.5 hours per week, with possible day shifts from 08:30 to 16:30. Upon joining us in a casual role, you'll become eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent part-time or full-time positions. Qualfications
Grade 12, completion of a recognized recreation course(s) plus two year’s recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
