Vima Design is looking for a candidate to complete our team of senior kitchen designers.
Are you a versatile and dynamic person? Have you always been passionate about custom kitchen design? Are you confident and have strong sales skills? Are you the motivated person to join our team? For 22 years, Vima Design has been one of the most recommended high-end kitchen design and renovation companies in the West Island. We also have our own cabinet production factories (100% assembled in Quebec). Our team consists of 3 senior designers, 1 project manager, 3 technical/production designers, 1 coordination designer, 5 teams of master installers and 4 renovation partners. Our employees are well-treated and loyal.
Your role:
The senior designer integrates into the sales and design team at Vima Design. This person plays a key role in welcoming clients in the showroom, creating spectacular custom kitchen and/or custom cabinets designs by drawing them and providing price estimates, and ultimately achieving the main goal: making the client fall in love with your proposal and closing the sale. The designer must then collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure that the subsequent steps of production, installation, etc., go smoothly and exceed our reputation standards.
Tasks:
- Welcome clients in the showroom, take initial measurements on site and study the needs of the clients.
- Design kitchens, choose materials, produce technical drawings and 3D renderings.
- Execute quotes for cabinets, countertops and accessories using various softwares (Octopus, Lightspeed, and Excel).
- Organize meetings with contractors if needed for renovations.
- Present complete projects to clients and sell the projects.
- Hand over complete sold files to the project manager for final measurement and production.
- Ensure showroom ‘’floor days’’ according to the schedule.
- Ensure that various teams have the necessary documentation on time for the projects.
- Collaborate with the production and coordination departments.
- Perform any other related tasks that may assist the team.
Our ideal candidate:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a kitchen designer in sales.
- Extensive knowledge in residential renovation and construction.
- Advanced level in Autocad and Sketchup software (knowledge of kitchen quoting software is a strong asset).
- Fully bilingual (professional level in spoken and written).
- Highly confident, convincing, positive, and professional attitude.
- Team spirit, ability to work with various departments and subcontractors.
- Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple files and follow ups simultaneously.
- Ability to assess priorities and be flexible.

- Salary to be determined based on experience and performance. The senior designer will receive 33% of all new potential clients and could earn between $65,000 and $100,000.
