We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications department, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our corporate communications strategy, working closely with the Director of Corporate Communications and stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:Internal Communications:
  1. Be an internal communications champion—Develop, curate and manage internal bilingual communication content in partnership with key stakeholders across various internal communications channels.
  2. Manage communications planning through editorial calendar.
  3. Execute on various internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement and alignment with company objectives.
  4. Leverage analytics to gather insights on internal communication initiatives performance.
  5. Organize and manage company-wide town hall meetings and ongoing initiatives and events.
  6. Other internal communications tasks as required.
External Communications:
  1. Help make the Stella-Jones brand shine—Collaborate with web developers and designers to update content and implement punctual website edits and improvements, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and reflective of the brand.
  2. Manage and update the company’s social media profiles to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  3. Create and curate engaging content, including text, images, and videos.
  4. Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and manage online reputation.
  5. Analyze social media analytics and metrics to track the performance of social media campaigns and make data-driven improvements.
  6. Collaborate with product category teams to create meaningful content and promotional campaign materials for print and online media.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 5–7 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles.
  3. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  4. Experience with design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Adobe is an asset.
  5. Strong command of Microsoft Office software suite.
  6. Familiarity with marketing and communications tools and software to assist in the creation and deployment of communications.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
  10. Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically.
  11. Experience working within a publicly traded company is an asset.
  12. Understanding of industry trends and best practices in corporate communications.
