Full Job DescriptionCasual, part-time position, hours will vary every week
Shift: 4:00 p.m. to midnight and you must be available to work STAT/Civic holidays/weekends if needed
Pay: $18.75 per hour
Receptionist/Security/Concierge Position:
You must have a valid driver's license and an insured, reliable vehicle as free underground parking is provided.
You will be required to obtain a CPIC from the Calgary Police Service or have a valid Alberta Security License (not expired).
You will be on a three (3) month probation.
Casual business attire is acceptable.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- If residents/visitors/contractors do not have their remote, you push a button to let them in the front door or walk to the back doors to let them in.
- You must screen all visitors to ensure they are actually allowed in the building or check that they are in the correct building.
- Welcome visitors/contractors/residents, directing them to the correct suite, advise them of where to park, notify residents of visitor's arrival.
- Ensure that condo regulations are followed and report issues to the Board of Directors or the Property Manager.
- Answer phone calls, direct them to the correct person, email messages, Microsoft Office is utilized in this position, basic PC skills required.
- Any parcels that arrive must be labelled correctly and a mail tag must be placed in the resident's mailbox.
- Supervise and lock off elevator for moves in/out, furniture deliveries etc., and sign out luggage carts.
- Record maintenance issues, irregularities, incidents in the Daily Diary.
- Issue temporary access cards when required as per the building rules and regulations.
- Monitor Visitor Parking at the front of the building and monitor the parking garage.
- Maintain a safe and clean reception area/lobby; cleaning products to fight COVID are provided as well as masks and gloves if needed. After hours, mop up spills in the lobby and move parcels to prevent tripping hazards.
- The front desk is also surrounded by tempered glass in order to fight COVID.
- Follow fire and other emergency instructions for this building.
- Sign out and give out keys to only those persons allowed to have them.
Qualifications:
- Telephone Skills, Verbal Communication, Microsoft Office Skills, Listening, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Organization, Informing Others, Handles Pressure, Handle Confidential Information.
Minimum Requirements include:
- High school diploma/university degree/justice administration/law courses preferred.
- Two or more years experience in a customer service position preferred.
- Alberta Security License/Concierge/Reception/Security experience strongly preferred.
- English - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
