We are looking for an Angular Web Developer to work with one of our clients based in Montreal.


MISSION AND OBJECTIVES:


The team's primary goal is to deliver day-to-day services that accelerate transformation processes. Setting itself apart from competitors, the team focuses on agile transformation, disseminating technology and data culture, streamlining decision-making, and adopting a true industrial approach. This involves leveraging different teams, whether transversal or aligned with various sub-business units.

The Finance, Risk, and Market Data unit oversees information systems for P&L calculation, bookkeeping, and risk indicators. Covering Liquidity risk, Asset and liabilities management, and a code-free data transformation service, the team operates in New York, Chicago, and Montreal.

The Americas team, comprising IT business analysts, developers, and ops agents, manages these systems. The in-house no-code app in LTA, assisting in data preparation for risk reporting, features an Angular-based front-end.


DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Designing and constructing the front-end interface.

• Establishing the architecture for new web developments.

• Managing initiatives from initiation to completion, collaborating with users and business analysts, proposing designs, implementing projects, reviewing system architecture, estimating effort, and ensuring timely delivery.

• Upholding agile and continuous delivery methodologies, ensuring well-tested and automated code.

• Adhering to release/change management processes and taking responsibility for 2nd and 3rd level support.

• Assisting the support team in release rollouts and providing clear reports to clients and management.

• Assessing risks and devising contingency strategies.

• Collaborating with various teams, including networking, systems, quality assurance, support, architects, and other development teams.

• Leveraging IT best practices to enhance development quality.


PROFILE:


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


Must have:


• Previous significant experience as an Angular web developer.

• Successful front-end implementation of complex applications. • Deep understanding of Angular design patterns.

• Code Reviews.

• Defining good practices and coding rules.

• Git Version control.

• Working in an Agile development team.

• Commonly used design patterns and multi-threading. Nice-to-have: • Other object-oriented design languages and methodologies (Java, C#, C/C++).

• Test automation tools.

• MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.


Competencies:


Must have:


• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Team player and able to share knowledge and expertise with other UI developers.

• Dynamic, detail-oriented, fast learning capacity, and able to work in a high-pressure environment.


Nice-to-have:


• Understanding of ETL concepts and applications.

• Experience in Finance, Risk, and Operation.


Education:


• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent (required).

• Degree in finance (nice-to-have).
