The Loss Prevention Site Lead (LPSL) is a key leadership position within the Amazon Loss Prevention Team. The LPSL leads the effort to efficiently provide security services and asset protection in a designated area of responsibility. This role allows you to work through root cause analysis, effect change, challenge the status quo, and deliver innovative ideas. The LPSL fosters an environment of inclusion and diversity, reporting to the Regional Loss Prevention Manager and supporting operational and cross-functional teams. Depending on the role, this position may have direct reports.



Key job responsibilities
  1. Enhance, track, and report on key performance indicators to achieve desired outcomes efficiently.
  2. Utilize continuous improvement to enhance processes and increase efficiency.
  3. Engage, coach, train, and influence business partners to identify Loss Prevention risks.
  4. Assist with investigations of theft and fraud, and identify inventory defects.
  5. Inspire performance excellence in security services team members and vendors.
  6. Identify, promote, and implement security best practices.
  7. Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing candidates.
  8. Effectively address loss mitigation, security considerations, and workplace violence incidents.
  9. Travel up to 25% domestically.
  10. Work in a 24/7 operation, including weekends and overnight shifts.
  11. Work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and lifting up to 20 lbs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years relevant professional or military experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, risk management, or related field.
  • 2+ years data collection experience with root cause analysis.
  • 2+ years of people management experience.
  • 1+ experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma concepts desired, certification like PMP is a plus.
  • Experience with databases such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, Exception Based Reporting, etc.
  • Experience with security equipment like intrusion detection devices and access control systems.
  • Experience in logistics, warehouse, distribution center, multi-site loss management.
  • Interviewing and Interrogation experience beneficial, certifications like Wicklander and Zulawski, LPQ, CPP, LPC, CFI are a plus.
  • Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience.
