Your new role will be

As our newest Application Engineer, you will collaborate with our Sales team, Project Engineers, suppliers and customers as you will be a key technical role in the early stage of the sales process of compressed air installations, product customizations as well as complete engineered solutions. You will get to deep dive into a wide canvas of product lines and technologies such as air compressors, air compressor accessories, dryers, gas generators, air receivers, and much more technical support.

This position will preferably be based in Saint-Laurent (Qc), but could also be based in one of our branches in Mississauga, Edmonton or Langley.

The main activities you’ll take care of

  • Provide support for sizing and selecting new and complex products or systems.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to assess the technical and commercial feasibility of tenders. Clarify customer inquiries and specifications.
  • Generate High-Quality Quotations, deliver well-crafted quotations for locally purchased equipment, product modifications, and engineered solutions.
  • Optimize Offers and work closely with purchasing and external partners to ensure the most competitive and cost-effective offers are presented.
  • Create Technical Documentation and prepare 2D and 3D drawings, as well as complete technical datasheets during the sales phase.
  • Conduct detailed technical presentations and occasionally participate in bid clarification meetings.
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and quality of support to the sales team, collaborating with other application engineers.
  • Assist the sales team by collecting and reviewing all relevant technical information.
  • Conduct comparative studies to highlight the efficiency benefits of our solutions over competitor equipment.
  • Explore new ways to add value to customers and promote our efficient solutions.

What will help you succeed in your new role

  • Your 2 years of experience in an engineering/technical commercial position
  • Your 2 years experience in air compressors, treatment systems and installation
  • Your Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • Your solid experience in designing and sizing compressed air systems
  • Your experience with API/ISO standards and specifications
  • Your knowledge of CRM tools and sizing and calculation programs
  • Your experience in AutoCAD mechanical or electrical & Inventor professional
  • Your bilingualism (English and French) written and spoken.
  • Your solid communication and presentation skills
