POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor the position performs a variety of sewing quality control and conformance functions. These duties include but are not limited to reading specs and examining filter bags to ensure they meet Albarrie quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Inspects filter bags upon completion to ensure they meet Albarrie’s quality standards as per the engineering drawing.
  • Folding and stacking filter bags on the table.
  • Identifying and utilizing the appropriate cell plates based on the engineer’s drawing.
  • Repackaging repaired filter bags from customers as per specifications.
  • Occasionally tapes boxes before they are filled, as needed.
  • Completes order information by labeling boxes for shipping materials.
  • Fill out quality control sheets for all specs.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies,procedures, and standards.
  • Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a teamenvironment.
  • Sewing experience is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent if studied in a different province or country).
  • Basic knowledge of Fabrics
  • Some knowledge of sewing techniques
  • Some knowledge of reading specification sheets and engineer drawings
  • Experience using a computer including an ERP system to scan in and out of work orders.
