Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of a dedicated and results-achieving Manufacturing Manager to join our Operations team at our Pointe Claire, Quebec, Canada facility. In this role you will lead & coordinate manufacturing operations You will have the ability to redesign, build, shape, improve and implement effective electronic box build manufacturing processes, utilize concepts of lean & 6 sigma to drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, while working to achieve key performance metrics and meeting/exceeding customer expectations. The position requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills as well as a solid understanding assembly & test processes within the electro-mechanical power equipment industry

In this role you will get to:

Champion a culture of safety excellence, prioritizing the well-being of all employees, visitors, and contractors. Implement and enforce safety protocols and continuously improve safety practices.

Drive a commitment to uncompromising product quality. Support and maintain robust quality assurance/control processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.

Monitor and optimize production schedules to ensure on-time delivery from all sites, addressing any discrepancies between internal and outsourced production.

Develop and execute manufacturing strategies and plans to meet production targets, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Lead and facilitate change management initiatives within the manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth transitions during process changes, technology implementations, and organizational restructuring.

Monitor and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall manufacturing performance.

Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sourcing, and quality, manufacturing engineering & supply chain to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.

Lead a production team & production leadership along with maintenance providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure high performance and employee engagement.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the manufacturing team.

Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage constraints, optimizing resource allocation, workflow, and production schedules.

Lead site level tier accountability meetings with support functions, such as engineering, quality, HS&E, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, maintenance, and others as appropriate to review key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly reviewing data and implementing corrective actions to improve & optimize manufacturing operations.

Identify training needs, conduct performance evaluations, and implement professional development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the manufacturing team.

Collaborate as part of the Integrated Business Planning process to review demand plans and establish supply plans required (capacity planning, and resource allocation strategies) to meet production targets and customer demand.

Utilize lean manufacturing principles, such as value stream mapping, 5S, and Kaizen, to identify areas for process improvement and implement corresponding solutions.

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and technology specialists to explore and implement new technologies, equipment, or automation solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and output.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient execution of manufacturing processes.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and increase overall operational efficiency.

Ensure effective problem solving is utilized to drive root cause & deploy permanent corrective action.


Job Requirements


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of equipment assembly processes and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems (ERP/MRP) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Canadian labor laws, especially in Quebec, and environmental and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in both French & English.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Effective change agent through communication, coaching &raising the bar to drive high-performing teams.

Experience with demonstrated lean six sigma processes & tools and ability to transform organization to achieve lean as part of the culture.

Leverage data to lead in a metrics-driven environment and holds his/her team accountable to established metrics; has created KPIs, and metrics for a company in a high growth environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with common Microsoft software programs, including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook & MS Teams.
