Responsibilities

· Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and associated processes; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems

· Design and deploy new systems, applications and/or enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems

· Conduct research on software and systems products as required

· Collaborate and participate in the integration of all newly acquired businesses to our core systems

· Collaborate with the other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes

· Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services

· Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures

· Design and perform recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies

· Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, and other applications.

· Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records

· Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems

· Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.

· Coordinate and complete GRC requirements for businesses under the umbrella of companies


Knowledge & Experience

· Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications such as configuring Entra AD Connect servers, Pass-through auth agents.

· Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general IT management best practices. i.e.: Enterprise/ Application registrations in Azure AD with SAML authentication, restricting registered Apps access in M365 to specific group of user identities, M365 Administrative Units

· Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

· Extensive experience with Microsoft’s core software applications, including Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2022, Exchange Server 2013-2019 and Exchange Online including hybrid config, Office365 (Teams, Entra ID, Office 365 Groups, Teams Telephony)

· Extensive experience with ADFS 3.0, SSO concepts and implementation

· Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting across the Microsoft stack required

· Experience with other scripting languages (e.g, Python, Bash)

· Extensive knowledge of Intune, Microsoft Defender and related tools

· Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures

· Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives

· Knowledge of applicable data security and privacy practices and laws

· Experience and understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, SSE and SASE

· Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.

· At least 3-5 years of experience in systems administration and cloud management

· Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
