Location: Quebec (Fly-in, Fly-out Role)

Rotation: 3 Weeks On, 1 Week Off

Contract Duration: 3-4 Months (Starting June)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Exploration Geologist for a contract opportunity based in Quebec. This role will be a fly-in, fly-out position with a rotation of three weeks on and one week off. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team involved in an exciting exploration project that will run for a period of 3-4 months, starting in June.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geological field mapping, data collection, and sampling as part of an exploration project.
  • Lead and contribute to regional and generative exploration efforts, identifying potential targets and advancing the exploration strategy.
  • Perform geochemical and structural geological analyses to support exploration goals.
  • Work in remote, rugged environments with a focus on safety and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the exploration team to integrate data and ensure the project moves forward according to timeline and objectives.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of remote exploration operations, ensuring all work is conducted in compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in geological exploration, with a strong focus on fieldwork and data interpretation.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in regional and generative exploration, contributing to the identification and development of new exploration opportunities.
  • Proven experience in exploration data collection, field mapping, and sampling in remote or challenging environments.
  • Solid understanding of geochemistry and structural geology, with the ability to incorporate these factors into exploration strategies.
  • Prior experience with remote exploration in Northern Canada or similar environments is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, while also collaborating effectively with a team.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fly-in, fly-out setting with a 3-week on, 1-week off rotation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in Northern Canada's remote conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to report findings clearly and accurately.
