IT Superintendent

We are currently seeking a IT Superintendent to provide best governance practice support for our mine's IT systems and applications and successfully deliver IT related projects and solutions.

Duties will include:

• Manage a variety of facility-based platforms such as CCTV, access control systems and site server room
• Responsible for the development of the IT annual operating budget and IT project capital investments, and the delivery of the work of the IT team in accordance with approved budget funding and time frames
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT on-site team
• Ensure high quality and timely IT support is provided across the mine site. IT support consists of predominantly end user computing devices such as mobile phones, computers and printers
• Oversee IT procurement processes for vendor management, contract administration, and procurement
• Develop, implement and uphold safe and efficient work practices at all times
• Build positive working relationships with both internal and external parties.

About You:

• Extensive systems support experience in a mid-to-large network
• Managing a small IT team is preferred though for the right candidate not essential
• Background in mining is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Uncompromising commitment to safety and the environment
• Based in Canada and comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to site.
