$23.63 - $29.10 per hour
For All Roles
In addition to regular wages, regular Wage employees receive 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation leave:
- 5.2 percent of regular wage earnings instead of paid holidays
- 6 percent of regular wage earnings instead of annual vacation pay

- $3.25 per hour for weekends and holidays
- $2.75 per hour for evenings

Role Responsibilities

The Ski Hill Supervisor will work with the Ski Patrols as well as be part of a team to provide ski hill guests with a positive and enjoyable skiing experience. Ski Patrol Supervisor duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the ski patrol team, overseeing all facets of guest service, guest safety, mountain safety, medical care, on-hill maintenance and chair lift guest evacuation.
- Ensuring that daily scheduling of staff is adequate and appropriate for necessary patrol operations and communicating with staff about daily assignments and expectations.
- Ensuring accountability of patroller development by tracking the training performance and certifications within given deadlines; provide coaching and feedback in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating effective supervisory skills with regard to motivation, training and documented mid and end of season reviews.
- Facilitating and coordinating with other departments on daily opening and operation of the resort; communicating with other departments with issues that might affect their operations; weather conditions that might affect ski school, food service, lifts, etc.
- Assuming leadership role in major incidences including accidents, lift issues, special events, guest confrontations, or missing skier searches.
- Overseeing ski hill maintenance issues including closures, slope and trail conditions, protective padding, and general appearance of ski area.
This position primarily works outdoors in variable winter weather conditions and cold temperatures and requires you have great physical stamina. Working across departments may be required to fulfill operation needs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma plus related experience, preferably 12 months, including supervisory and skiing related experience.
If successful, you will need to provide prior to employment:
- Advanced First Aid and Advanced CPR Certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent and Driver’s Abstract, less than 6 demerits.
