Senior Installation Engineer

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that the project is compliant with the contract, the system requirements and the local electrical regulations.
  2. Design and instruct subcontractor designer to route cables within the technical rooms and along the track system, managing filling ratio, existing pathways challenging, proposing new pathways etc.
  3. Manage and seek resolution of the technical Interfaces between the engineering installation works and technological Systems/subsystems.
  4. Ensure the application of quality procedures for the emissions of the documents at every stage of the design.
  5. Interface with the civil designer to make sure the integrated design can be implemented.
  6. Identify the critical issues in the development of the project, especially during the interfaces, and propose mitigation actions.
  7. Represent the Installation engineering team and support the design choices with all stakeholders.
  8. Ability to work in a BIM environment as part of the project delivery strategy, according to the BIM Execution Plan.
  9. Size pathways and raceway, considering the subsystems' design.
  10. Design management of contractors and sub-contractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control.

Education and Experience:

  1. Electrical Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.
  2. 5-10 year experience of Electrical Works in the Railway Engineering context.
  3. Experience in the area of construction and installation Design.
  4. Additional expertise in the railways contexts is considered as a plus.
  5. Previous experience in construction is a plus.
  6. Solid experience in transit in context with managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within the technical rooms.

Operative Competencies:

  1. Ability to identify, understand and overcome installation challenges when developing the design.
  2. Familiar with Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools.
  3. Attention to detail and deadlines.
  4. Self-motivated.
  5. Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities.
  6. Ability to work in a project and deadline-oriented environment.
  7. Ability to stay organized and maintain project records.
  8. Team player.
  9. Must be able to proficiently use Revit, Aconex, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  10. Autodesk Revit or 3D software are a plus.
  11. Written and verbal English communication skills.
