Pacific Honda has an opening for a Product Advisor / Sales Consultant.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our sales team to sell new & pre-owned vehicles. Candidates will be those who desire working in a customer-centric environment and who are constantly driven to outperform and improve upon sales goals. The successful candidate will complement an established, dynamic group of individuals within our Sales Department.

About the Opportunity

As a Product Advisor (Sales Representative), you will demonstrate and sell new Honda vehicles and accessories and all brands of pre-owned vehicles by understanding and presenting features and benefits; developing and qualifying prospective buyers; maintaining after-sales customer contacts and follow-up.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Welcoming customers to the dealership.
  2. Reviewing client needs and presenting vehicle features & benefits accordingly.
  3. Conducting test drives and vehicle demonstrations with clients.
  4. Presenting and reviewing lease and finance payment options.
  5. Keeping up to date with current programs and manufacturer offerings.
  6. Endorsing the Financial Services Department and recommending protection options and accessories to clients.
  7. Being thoroughly conversant with product features, options, specifications, warranties, and pricing.
  8. Excelling in customer satisfaction and attaining company CSI levels.
  9. Demonstrating vehicle features and operation to customers during delivery of their vehicle purchase.
  10. Ensuring clients understand warranties and service requirements for their vehicle.
  11. Maintaining contact with clients who have purchased vehicles to ensure continued satisfaction and for repeat sales opportunities.
  12. Prospecting for new business and building referral business for future sales.
  13. Following up with prospects via phone/email/text/in-person meetings.
  14. Completing required training & job knowledge within allotted times.
  15. Attending all department meetings including off-site training.
  16. Enhancing the dealership’s reputation by providing excellent customer service.
  17. Following all company and manufacturer policies, directives, and procedures and abiding by governmental & VSA licensing rules.
  18. Performing any other duties as required.

Applicants must have:

  1. A friendly, customer-focused attitude.
  2. A broad understanding of the automotive industry.
  3. Experience in sales and customer service.
  4. Good listening skills and the ability to build rapport with people.
  5. A valid Class 5 BC Driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  6. VSA license (can be obtained upon hiring).
  7. All applicants must be proficient in English (oral and written). Bilingualism considered an asset.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Computer skills and good typing skills.
