Role Overview

We are currently seeking an entrepreneurially minded Regional Director (RD) to lead our business development efforts to grow our client base and team of CFOs in Montreal.

Are you passionate about driving sales growth, fostering lasting relationships and leading teams? Do you have the mindset of a CEO plus a background as a CFO, a significant understanding of business finance, preferably with a proven track record in sales and business development? The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-driven and motivated by a sense of purpose and contribution to help ambitious $2-$100M revenue businesses succeed. You thrive on building meaningful relationships that will help you build a team like minded of fractional Chief Financial Officers dedicated to delivering exceptional client experience and value.

The role combines the benefits of being part of a local, national and international team with strong marketing support operating within a defined business model while at the same time offering a level of autonomy and freedom in how results are delivered.

Your role will involve close collaboration with our CEO, President and our national team of Regional Directors in Canada. In addition, you will leverage your network and exceptional relationship building skills to drive success in expanding our client base and CFO team in the Montreal area, while also delivering CFO services to clients yourself.

In the first year of the role, 40% of the time can be spent on delivering CFO services while the remainder of your time will be fully focused on driving clients to the business, building the team and nurturing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy and Growth:


• Build and grow a high-potential region with a CEO-like mindset, focusing on strategic objectives and driving company growth.


• Engage with new business prospects, develop leads, and convert them into long-term clients.


• Establish a strong local network and drive brand visibility in the region.

Leadership and Coaching:


• Lead, inspire, and coach a team of talented part-time CFOs, ensuring they provide high-impact financial leadership to our clients.


• Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous development and success.

Client-Centric Approach:


• Focus on adding value to both clients and their businesses, ensuring the services provided help clients achieve their aspirations.


• Listen actively to clients, ask insightful questions, and find tailored solutions that meet their needs.

Sales and Network Building:


• Actively build relationships with local professionals, organizations, and industry leaders.


• Drive sales growth by utilizing exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills to convert prospects into long-term clients.

Relationship Building:


• Cultivate lasting relationships with your team and clients, acting as a trusted advisor and business partner.


• Foster a culture of mutual support, helping clients and team members thrive.

Collaboration:


• Work closely with the CEO, President, and other Regional Directors to ensure alignment with company-wide goals.


• Collaborate with colleagues globally to share insights, resources, and strategies that contribute to regional and company success.

Desired Qualifications & Attributes


• Sales & Business Development: Proven track record of success in business development and sales, particularly within the SMB market.


• C-Suite Experience: Experience in a senior leadership role, ideally with a background in CFO or other executive leadership positions.


• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching teams, with an ability to inspire and motivate a high-performance culture.


• Client Relationship Management: Exceptional ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and business partners.


• Communication: Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Energetic & Results-Oriented: Self-motivated, goal-driven, and proactive approach to achieving success.


• Cultural Fit: Strong alignment with The CFO Centre's values of purposeful leadership, high performance, and work-life balance.

Desired Work Experience


• 5+ years of CFO experience


• Preferred but not required experience in a sales/business development role with a focus on SMB's


• CPA designation


• Must be fully bilingual English/French

Compensation

This role offers a performance-based compensation model, where your earnings are tied to revenue performance and the success of your team. The position is 100% commission-based, allowing you to leverage your entrepreneurial spirit and drive significant earning potential.
