As a custodian, you ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other facilities, contributing to a positive learning atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies, as well as performing minor maintenance tasks as needed. Additionally, you'll assist with setting up for events and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of cleaning and minor maintenance tasks in and around school district buildings as outlined in the Custodial Standards and Job Frequency Schedule.
Empties and cleans the ‘Three Stream System’ containers - Organics, Waste and Recycling.
Cleans and sanitizes school equipment and furniture as required.
Picks up garbage on school district properties.
Operates, cleans and maintains custodial tools and equipment for daily use.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of Grade 10 (minimum).
Completion of Building Service Worker Course.
Ability to use judgement in applying clearly prescribed methods and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the routine exchange of information
Physical ability to perform the required duties.
