Job Description

Our client, an ambitious and growing company in the financial services space is looking for a Senior Data Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a modern, cloud-native data infrastructure that powers mission-critical decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect and implement scalable data pipelines and integration frameworks using GCP (preferred) or AWS/Azure
  • Build a robust data environment including raw, curated, and business layers across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets
  • Leverage managed GCP services such as BigQuery, DataProc, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Dataform to enable real-time and batch processing
  • Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform to ensure repeatable and secure deployments
  • Optimize and maintain the full data lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to governance, analytics, and API exposure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, availability, and scalability of data platforms

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in data modeling, integration, ingestion, and metadata management
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building data systems in GCP (strongly preferred), AWS, or Azure
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to design and expose data manipulation APIs
  • Strong understanding of the modern data stack and best practices in DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and MLOps
  • Experience working with cloud-native architectures, data governance, and security frameworks
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Experience developing within highly regulated environments (finance, healthcare, etc.)
  • Familiarity with BI tools and analytics layers built on top of scalable data lakes or warehouses
