What you'll do

The Cloud Operations & Automation (COA) team is instrumental in driving cloud transformation within our enterprise. We are responsible for managing public cloud platforms on Azure and GCP, as well as the full developer toolchain including Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, GitHub, and more. Our goal is to continuously enhance our platforms by updating services and partnering with solution partners across CTC to deliver value through cloud enablement and automation.

As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you will play a hands-on, technical role within the COA team. Working in an agile environment, you will leverage your expertise in cloud and DevOps to manage systems, automate infrastructure, and translate our platform services roadmap into pipelines and code. Collaborating closely with architects, security engineers, operations support, and project leads, you will contribute to building enterprise-grade solutions.

  1. Deliver high-quality work using an agile delivery model within a team environment.
  2. Write Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  3. Deploy cloud infrastructure and services on Azure and GCP.
  4. Administer and automate Linux and Windows systems using GO, PowerShell, and Python.
  5. Utilize automation to ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards.
  6. Create and maintain technical documentation.
  7. Support development programs aimed at building cloud-native applications.
  8. Contribute to the development of cloud strategies and target reference architectures.
  9. Mentor and coach others in cloud and DevOps tools and practices.
  10. Communicate timelines, dependencies, constraints, and progress effectively.
  11. Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to maintain a 24x7 environment.

What you bring

  1. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in development, operations, or full-stack implementations.
  3. Expertise in Azure and or GCP.
  4. Proven experience in developing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.
  5. Extensive knowledge of Linux server administration.
  6. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including VNETs, subnetting, NSGs, routing, firewalls, and DNS.
  7. Experience with build automation tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, ADO, etc.
  8. Ability to interpret and apply security best practices to create secure infrastructure and applications.
  9. Familiarity with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  10. Experience working in a highly secure or heavily regulated environment.
  11. Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
  12. Proficiency in collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, JIRA, and Confluence.
  13. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and solutioning skills.
  14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  15. Ability to adapt to change and ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
  16. Action-oriented mindset with a willingness to take calculated risks for customer-centric improvements.
  17. Outcome-focused critical thinker capable of analyzing data to drive continuous improvement.
  18. Collaborative team player with superior influencing skills to build relationships across stakeholder groups.
